up today is an exclusive treat. a few days ago i stumbled upon this indeed very exciting danish myspace page presenting a seductive sound, which managed to crawl under my skin right from the start. i really had no choice but to write to the myspaces owner, humble asking for the original files. luckily for you, she gave me permission to share it with you guys.
who's she? your probably wondering. well, with she i am referring to young kirstine fogh vindelev - the key figure behind some of the most honest danish music i've heard in a long while. sounds exciting, right? it is. and it's about to get even more exciting, all you got to do is read on.
autofiction is only a few months old but as far as i can tell it got 'success' written all over it. besides kirstine who takes care of the programming and vocals, the duo consist of anne geertsen on piano and keys.
kirstine is the one composing the tracks and get her inspiration from movies, foto art, 90ties trip-hop and the true rock'n'roll stars of the past. anne is more of a schooled musician, but also uses the inspiration of the moment in her creation of the much centered piano parts of the songs.
here's what kirstine told me:
"the idea with autofuction is to create another world than the one we live in. an attempt to as if by magic create a universe where everything is allowed, where people wear their emotions on their skin and live a high-speed living. we want listeners to discover this universe through our music, because it's a beautiful and thrilling place."
i bet it is. i don't know about you, but i cant wait to hear more about autofiction. for now, though, here's the first three tracks of their debut ep. enjoy.

I liked The Gameframe most. It´s incredible how many talented people live in this world. Thanks a lot for this pleasure.good luck.bye.Gui from Brazil.
gameframe is also my favourite, closely followed by diane selwyn though. that piano part in the end really makes an exit.
glad you liked it, gui. cheers.
kirstine ftw ! ;)
Waauh!Exciting music!! We think Dummyhead also had to be mentioned, but we liked them all!! Congratulations to Kirstine og Anne with their new debut ep :) ev & pf (:
NAJS! This music is just what I've been longing for, for so long now! Kinda takes me back to the days in where ambient and melancholic music ruled my playlist. Im really having a hard time choosing a favorite from these three. I find them all incredible! :D
