it's funny how you start these kind of things in a million different ways. i was sort of thinking doing a little like this for a start:

"oiih, you there! yeeah, yoou. where's ya think you going? first time here, eyh? well well, bugger off. yeaah, get a long now - take a piss. get out of here, you hear me? this ain't for you, so skip it."

intentionally you should get kind of interested in staying since i was telling you to take a piss. it was supposed to catch your attention. reverse effect and all that shit. i could, though, start things like this:

"lads and lads-nesses, welcome to the home of the FRIDAY'S BRP MIXES. geeesh, where's my manners? let me introduce myself. his highness - sometimes even royalness (or better) - peet at your service (bows down quite nicely). i'm the blogrocker running this place, the man doing the mixes and all. and just like fake blood, i'm a mystery 'cause i've read somewhere being a mystery get people all excited....except...well..i'm not a mystery at all."

hmm...there's another start i guess. no...no no, it's all wrong. how about this one?

"you know the feeling of hearing a really, really good song for the first time? the feeling where you just know this song will blow your mind? and you keep playing it on repeat at least 30 times..? of course you know that feeling. well guess what? i've got 5 of those songs for you. and naturally, if you already know one of them, it's only 4 i guess. but still.
